SCVNGR – useful for theatre?

I am in love with the blog – Tech in the Arts.

It always has such great examples of technology in the world of art (you probably could have figured that out from the name) – but most often it deals with visual art and museums. So when I see something pretty rad that a theatre is trying to do, I have to share!

At this year’s Humana Festival for New American Plays – the 2amtheatre smart-as-a-whip dude-in-charge David Loehr, decided to combine the story location-based Social Media platform Broadcastr with the games-layer location-based Social Media platform SCVNGR.

Tech in the Arts talked to him about how that all worked out.

Check it out.

I love companies trying to make the best of Social Media, because there is truly SO much potential in them for the art world.

Nice work D. Loehr.
